After setting an intention for our own needs, many feel compelled to share the positive energy of their yoga practice with others. Setting an outward intention or dedication to others is another way to be inspired and motivated while we practice. During our yoga practice we move energy and call it many names ~ Breath, Prana, Reiki, the Holy Spirit. This energy is a life giving force that will bring peace and healing and the good news is ~ there is an abundance to share!
The Buddha said, "Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared."
When we send positive energy out to others it does not diminish our own instead we gain more in return. The practice of sending energy refills our own, enhances well-being and allows for peace. It is a win-win situation where we give and receive love freely. We love ourselves, we share love & we receive love! By focusing on intentions & dedications we stay motivated during our yoga practice time & throughout our daily lives to bringing love & light to the world and all beings.
