Coming to our mat, moving, exploring, playing, relaxing. Is this something that I always feel motivated to do?

I don't know about you but I left it up to motivation, I might not get there ~ OFTEN!

Do I ever regret coming to my mat afterwards? - NEVER!

Do I need to use habit & dedication to get there?- ABSOLUTELY!

So, what do we do to stay connected, stay dedicated, stay motivated? Here are a few ideas that help me make it happen:

Habit ~ we are creatures of habit, sometimes these habits don't serve us and we need to release them, other times habits keep us on track. Just like brushing our teeth in the morning, coming to our mat can become a habit if we do it routinely, experts agree that 21 days is a magic number

Ritual ~ like habits, rituals allow us to enter into the practice, a ritual can be as simple as after morning coffee, I roll on my favorite Essential Oil blend then I come to my mat for at least 10 minutes..... Perhaps music, chanting, mudras help you get into the groove.

Accountability ~ making ourselves accountable in some way, using a habit tracker, telling someone so they check on us, writing it in our journal, whatever it takes.

Yoga is a practice, it is not perfect! Yoga can be as simple as mindful breathing, it can look different each day. We do it over and over, we stray, we come back, we are always thankful for the balance it brings to us if we let it!

This Morning, the Mushtika Mudra helped me to be determined and dedicated to my practice. Join me this week as we explore the benefits that this Hasta Mudra (Hand seal) offers physically & emotionally to transform out practice!

Class descriptions & registration can be found here ~ https://www.asanawellnesspt.com/schedule

I look forward to seeing you on the mat!
